On September 5th 2024, about forty almuni from class 1999 reunited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their entrance at École normale supérieure. Invited by the ENS, the ENS Foundation and a-Ulm, they spend an evening of networking and sharing memories at 45 rue d’Ulm.
Frédéric Worms, director of ENS-PSL, Martin Andler, président of a-Ulm and Caroline Guény-Mentré, ENS Foundation director, made speeches, highlighting the importance of their contribution to help the school progress on gender and social equality, and innovation in research. Class ambassadors Nirmala Séon-Massin and Olivier Vaury also talked to their peers during the evening.
This event marked the third class reunion of the year, after the classes of 2004 and 1974. In 2025, the ENS Foundation is aiming to organise more class reunions in order to reunite more alumni at the school and to engage them in the ambitious current and upcoming projects the school has. Eventually, reunions will happen every five years for each class, in order to foster their ties with the normalienne community.
