One of the ENS Foundation’s fields of action is the restoration of the school libraries’ literary treasures. Thanks to the support of donors, the Ulm-Jourdan libraries are able to restore unique books dating back to the 19th century and prior.
At the end of 2023, a number of patrons have chosen to allocate their donations specifically to the library. With their support, about fifteen precious books will be restored in 2024 by the team responsible for the collections of the École normale supérieure’s libraries.
“Preserving the heritage of the school is participating in fostering the school’s excellence in France and everywhere in the world,” Frédéric Worms, ENS director.
