Behind Every Scholarship, a Commitment: Looking Back on the 2026 Evening Honoring Graduating Scholarship Recipients
A Meaningful Annual Gathering

On May 21, the ENS Foundation brought together scholarship recipients graduating in 2026 and the donors whose generosity helped make their journeys possible for an evening dedicated to connection and shared purpose.
Held on the eve of the 2026 Commencement Ceremony, this gathering has become a cherished tradition within the Foundation’s community. It offers students an opportunity to look back on their years at ENS while meeting and exchanging with those whose support played a decisive role in their academic experience.
Inspiring Voices and a Spirit of Giving Back

Each year, thanks to the generosity of its donors, the ENS Foundation supports outstanding students through a range of scholarship programs, including the Foundation’s need-based scholarships, Women & Science Scholarships, Mathematics, Computer Science and AI Scholarships, Medicine and Humanities Scholarships, and Olympic Scholarships.
Beyond financial assistance, these scholarships provide students with the freedom to fully dedicate themselves to their studies, pursue ambitious projects, and approach the future with greater confidence and peace of mind.
This annual event gives a tangible face to that commitment. For donors, it is an opportunity to meet the students they support. For scholarship recipients, it is a privileged moment to engage with those who have chosen to invest in academic excellence and the next generation of talent.
Inspiring Journeys, Inspiring Commitments
his year, Jean-François Morizur (ENS Class of 2004, Sciences), founder and CEO of Cailabs and a donor to the Foundation since 2025, shared the motivations behind his philanthropic commitment. His remarks underscored the importance of supporting the Women & Science Scholarship Program as a strategic investment in research, innovation, and society as a whole. His message resonated strongly with the students in attendance, particularly Hannah Burgaud, a PhD candidate in geosciences and representative of the student association Toutes en SciENS:
It is essential to reach out to young women and tell them that they belong in science. That is why this scholarship program is so important.
Frédéric Worms, Director of ENS-PSL, and Caroline Guény-Mentré, Executive Director of the ENS Foundation, also highlighted the central role these scholarship programs play in advancing the School’s mission of academic excellence and social inclusion.
Because behind every scholarship lies far more than financial support: it represents a commitment, a vote of confidence in a new generation, and a concrete contribution to educating the researchers, teachers, entrepreneurs, and leaders of tomorrow.
Building Momentum for 2027
The Foundation warmly thanks everyone involved in making its scholarship programs and this annual gathering such a success.
Looking ahead to 2027, the goal is clear: to continue growing this community of committed supporters. We invite all those who wish to help expand access to these scholarship opportunities to support the Foundation through a gift. Every contribution, regardless of size, helps provide life-changing opportunities to more students.
Together, let us continue to strengthen this spirit of solidarity that is so central to the ENS community and so vital to student success and personal growth: make a gift.
