On Thursday, October 16, the ENS Foundation was delighted to welcome the 2025–2026 cohort of scholarship recipients to the School’s Directorate Salon. Together with the Director of the School, Frédéric Worms, the Foundation’s Executive Director, Caroline Guény-Mentré, and several committed patrons, this annual gathering celebrates the bonds of solidarity and excellence that unite the normalien community.
A New Agreement to Support Scientific Talent
A highlight of the evening was the signing of a new partnership agreement between ENS, its Foundation, and the Lycée Louis-le-Grand, represented by Principal Joël Bianco. Beginning in the 2026 academic year, this agreement will allow the high school to host the awardees of the new Olympic Physics Scholarship Program, launched jointly by the Foundation and ENS.
This initiative aims to attract promising international talents to ENS—students identified early in high school and awarded gold or silver medals at the International Science Olympiads.

Inspiring Testimonies and a Renewed Spirit of Philanthropy
Among the evening’s speakers, David Durrleman (S 2004) offered an inspiring account of his career, his commitment, and the importance of solidarity across generations of normaliennes and normaliens.
The Foundation warmly thanks all the patrons who support its scholarship programs; their continued commitment enables the School to advance social diversity, gender parity, and academic excellence.

The Foundation was also pleased to welcome the Global Talent Fund, represented by its co-founder Patrick Gaule, which is joining the circle of the School’s philanthropic partners by supporting the Olympic Scholarship programs beginning in fall 2025.
Through this partnership, the Global Talent Fund will enable new students to benefit from comprehensive, high-level support to develop their scientific potential and thrive within the normalien community.
Warmest wishes for a successful academic year to all 2025–2026 scholarship recipients!
