Start-Ulm

Rewarding innovation, research and entrepreneurship

Start-Ulm is an annual competition organized by the Club des Normaliens dans l’Entreprise, aimed at PSL start-ups where at least one of the founders is a member of the Normaliens community. The entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and adeptness of the candidates are rewarded through several Grand Jury Prizes, “Usages”, “Deeptech”, which highlights scientific excellence through projects based on scientific or technological innovation, and the Public Prize.

Goal:

To fund, for up to €5,000, the award that accompanies the Grand Jury Prize to provide capital or development assistance to the winning young start-ups.

Your donations go towards:

As an example, the DeepTech prize was recently awarded to the start-up Alice & Bob, led by Théau Peronnin, a young researcher at the ENS Lyon physics laboratory, for its work on building quantum computers.

That same year, the Public Prize was awarded to C12 in the same field, and the Grand Jury Prize to Study&Co, whose two founders have created a platform with resources and community space for international students in France.

“…The spirit of curiosity and the will to innovate that characterize the members of the Normalien community are essential factors to the success of entrepreneurial projects. This is what we wanted to emphasize in the organization of this event, and the quality of all the projects in the running this year aptly demonstrates this. ”
